I met up with Julia and Ernesto at High Park a few weeks ago to shoot their engagement photos. The engagements session is a fun way for me to get to know the bride + groom better before their wedding day, and to get them to used to having a camera follow them around like their personal paparazzi! For many people, having their picture taken can be a intimidating so I like using this time to ever-so-gently warm them up to the idea of having 1500+ photos taken of them in a span of a few hours. Of course, J+E being such down-to-earth folks and were great to work.
We took a few photos at the High Park Forest School, a school for blind children. I didn’t notice the word “gravey” beside Ernesto pointed it out to me afterward actually spells “graveyard”! The irony wasn’t lost on J+E given their pending marriage — I love their sense of humour, so awesome!
